New Haircut...well kinda new!

I got my hair chopped off a while ago, this picture was taken actually a month after I got it cut so you can tell how short it was! I forgot how fun it was to have short hair! Kevin always wants me to cut it short but I am alwasys a little nervous. My friend Kim cut it and it has been so fun! I have never gotten so many compliments from a haircut so that shows how good Kim is!

Christmas Sweaters!

A fun tradition that my mom started when Troy was born was getting the grandkids a cute holiday something to wear to church. I remember each sweater clearly and it's become a great memory for me. These darling sweater vests came in the mail last week and Troy was so excited to wear it to church. They got lots of compliments at church, even the Bishop said he wished he had a vest like that! Thank you Cookie & Papa!

Oh in just in case you are wondering, it is still impossible at our house to get a picture with both boys looking at the camera. Kevin got so fed up after taking these pictures, that he threw the camera! Reminds me of my dad trying to take our annual Christmas card picture while growing up!

To my Blogging Friends....

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who keeps up on their blogs! It is such a highlight to my day when I have a minute to sit down and click to each site. It has an amazing way of making me feel closer to everyone that I love. It doesn't matter if you are in St. Louis, Orange County California, Switzerland or an hour away in Provo, seeing your blog makes me feel right there! I am so thankful and lucky to have such amazing people in my life that I love to death!

Five years ago today...

was the day I became Erin Madsen! Today is our 5 year anniversary and guess what...we both forgot!!! Kev showed up at 4pm with these beautiful roses and accused me of not remembering our special day...(he was right, I had no idea!) He didn't remember though until Grandma Great wished him a Happy Anniversary! How does she keep up with 30+ grandkids?! 4 years ago it would have been the end of the world if he had forgotten but I guess things change :) I can't believe how many blessings have come forth in my life since the day I met Kevin. I am so lucky to be married to my best friend and have the cutest, most special boys in the entire world. I love you Kev! I can't wait to spend another 55+ years as your wife!
