So Cute!

Here are just some more pictures of my boys! Colt has been struggling with some things lately but we are hoping that he is coming out of it! He's a very good boy for the discomfort I know that he is in. Troy told me this morning he loves having a baby brother. He's so sweet with him, gets right in his face and smiles & shakes his head around and says, "Hi Colty Boy, Hi Colty Boy". I couldn't ask for sweeter boys!

Our Little Angel

Just had to post these sweet pictures I just took of Colt. I know every Mom thinks this but doesn't he just look like an angel!!! I love him to pieces!

Troy + Vasaline = A MESS!

Today, while I was feeding Colt, I thought that Troy was in my bedroom watching "Beauty and the Beast" (his favorite movie this week) I heard him yell, "Mom, I can't get down!" so I went to check on him. He had crawled into Colt's Pack & Play crib and got into a huge tub of Vasaline and it was EVERYWHERE! Of course, I grabbed the camera before I got mad at him! It was SO thick in his hair that we had to shave his hair off and it ruined the clippers in the process! I had to wash his clothes and everything he got it on 3 times in the washer to get it all out. What a little trouble maker!

Can't Forget Troy!

With all these pictures of Colt, I can't forget Troy! This is what he has been up to lately: being silly, playing dead and rolling off the couch, playing with Colt's toys & cuddling with Cookie during her 3 week visit. (We miss you Cookie! Come back!)

Baby Colt!

We are so glad to have our little Colty-Boy in our home! He is an angel and a blessing!!!

Colt in the Hospital

As most of you guys know, Baby Colt caught RSV when he was 14 days old and had to be admitted into the hospital for a week. Basically, RSV is a cold to older kids and adults but since Colt was so little, he couldn't clear out the mucus out of his throat on his own like we can. So every 3 hours in the hospital, they had to stick a tiny tube down his nose to the bottom of his throat and suction out the mucus. We had to stay until the mucus had cleared out on it's own, which ended up being a week. We were lucky enough to get Colt off of the oxygen the night before we left so we didn't have to deal with an oxygen tank at home. It was a hard week on Colt, being poked so badley all week and even harder on me having to watch it happen! It was a VERY long week of sleeping in a recliner chair and I am SO glad to be home and have my little guy doing so much better! My mom and dad saved the day by taking care of Troy all week. It was such a blessing to have their visit here overlap with our hospital visit. I don't know what we would have done without them!

Loving Colt!

We are loving our time with Baby Colt! He is just so precious and such an EASY baby! Troy was a challenge from day one due to his acid reflux and being such a horrible nurser. Colt is the opposite and we are loving life! (And loving a 6 hour stretch at night between feedings!) Due to his jaundice, he has to be under the lights at all times except feedings so that's hard. He can't be held 24/7 as we'd like and he can't wear his little cute outfits! But hopefully he can get out of them early this week. We are keeping our fingers crossed things continue to go so smoothly! We are so blessed!

Baby Colt is here!!!

We are so excited to have Baby Colt finally here! He is the sweetest little guy and we are so excited to have him in our family! On Wednesday morning, my water broke about 4:30am and we made the hour trip up to the hospital in a hurry. Luckily they were a little slow in the Labor & Delivery department and I had my epidural within 15 minutes of getting in my room! What a relief! When I got to the hospital I was dilated to a 6 and half and hour later I was fully dilated at a 10. 5 contractions of pushing and Colt was here! It was such an easy delivery compared to Troy (2 years ago I thought a 6 hour delivery was great, but this time a 3 hour delivery was even better!) I am feeling absolutely great which is a huge blessing. Colt was 8 pounds 2 ounces & 19 1/2 inches long which is HUGE for being born 3 1/2 weeks early (the same week Troy was born) Even though he was plenty big, he had a few signs that showed he was born a little early. (Near Term is what they call it) He had some extra mucus in his lungs they had to deal with immediately, he had to be on some oxygen because his levels were low, he had low blood sugar levels and he has jaundice. Over all, nothing too serious that couldn't easily be dealt with. I am so lucky to have my mom here visiting which has been a huge help, especially with Troy. Troy is so sweet and gentle with Troy but is being a little mean to his mommy. :( I'm sure he will get used to our new family arrangment very soon! Well more pictures will be posted on here so keep checking!!! Now everyone cheer on those Colts (one of Baby Colt's namesakes) on Super Bowl Sunday, we will be cheering on Payton here in Ephraim! This is their year!

Snow Party!!!

Last Saturday we had a Madsen Snow Party with family that was in town for New Years. It was a lot of fun...riding to the top of the hill on the 4 wheeler and then slidding down. Troy liked it for a little while and then he just wanted to sit in the truck with his Grandpa. On the first picture, all you can see of Troy are his little snow boots peeking out from under Kevin!

Christmas in Oklahoma

We had a great vacation at my parents in Oklahoma. Troy of course was spoiled and is missing all of the attention that he got from "Cookie & Papa." Kristin, Darren & CJ were there with us so it was great to have all of the family together. Santa still found Troy and brought him some little things since his big Thomas train was waiting for him in Utah!

Temple Square

Since Troy and I flew out on a Saturday morning for Oklahoma, we decided to stay downtown in Salt Lake City at a hotel overnight to enjoy some of the downtown Christmas festivities the night before we left. We had a nice dinner downtown and went to see the lights on Temple Square. Troy loved seeing the temple and all the pretty lights. We walked around a bunch and just people watched...it was cold but still a lot of fun. We decided to make it a new family tradition every December!

Christmas Card Picture

Just wanted to post our Christmas card picture from this year---hope you
all got yours in the mail!

Troy the Tiger

I wouldn't really call it an imaginary friend--yet! Troy is obsessed with tigers and is always talking about "Orange the Tiger". He see's Orange the Tiger all the time in the road while we are driving and yells out, "Watch out mom, there's a tiger in the road!" He has a great "grrrrr" and even uses his hands/paws when he tries to scare you being Orange. My mom found this hooded bath towel while we were visiting and knew Troy needed it! Troy has quite the little personality!
