A Busy Saturday!

Well first off, I have to totally brag on my amazingly, talented husband! I went to the home show this week and got an idea of something to do in our kitchen. I asked him if we could do it on Wednesday, and voila, it's done on Saturday! We had leftover bead board from doing Colt's room so we decided to do a back splash in our kitchen. Here is how it turned out. I love how it matches the backing on the bar!

Then I cleaned house and wanted to take some pictures of my holiday decorations. The main reason I did this was so I can print them off and put them in my decoration tubs so I remember where everything goes!
Kevin's grandma hand made the crystal tree with gold safety pins and beads. All of the grand kids have one and it is very special to me!

My new fake tree that I think looks very real!

My mom made these stockings for us. Mine is the one I have had my whole life...I love how it doesn't look any older than the other three. They are probably my favorite decoration, along with grandma's safety pin tree :)
Looking out the window at the snow we got! I love snow storms that come on the weekend when I can just stay inside all day in my warm house!

Happy Holidays, everyone! Only 11 more days!

That back splash looks so good! I really like the black with everything else in your kitchen. And of course you have cute decorations. I will bring your money by for Bonko's. I totally forgot since Isaac got sick at the last Bonko's.

Hi Erin!
Hey, I love what you did with the back splash - it really adds depth to the whole kitchen, and it ties everything together so well.
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
Love you guys,

Erin:) Your Kitchen looks so good--it's great how a quick project can make such a difference! I love all your Christmas decorations too. I'm going to attempt to make stockings once I'm home with my mom to help and supervise--I'm not much of a seamstress.

Anyway, we'd love to see you guys when we're in Utah, but we're only there the 29th through the 2nd. We'll be in Midway--where are you guys again? It'd be so nice to make something work!

Oh my heck! That looks amazing! Tell Kevin to come on over and to do mine!

Oh, and about Glenn Beck's book...it was really good. A fast read with a good message. The only thing I don't like is that it's based on a true story, but still a novel, so you never really know where fact ends and fiction begins, but I suppose that's the point of writing it as fiction, eh? It was a great book to share with my grandma!
