Troy's Pumpkin Patche

Earlier in the spring, I decided to plant some pumpkins and gourds on the side of our house. And since I had never done this before, I planted to packs of seeds thinking we'd get a few pumpkins. Well, the patch took over the side of the yard and needless to say, we had plenty of pumpkins! Troy kept begging all summer to do a lemonade stand (which I didn't want to bother doing) so I told him all summer he could have a pumpkin stand. The day was finally here and we had a successful sale! Troy made $60 which went in his savings account. He was so excited!

Love his handwriting, his envelope to hold his millions

And since I was in charge, everything had to be labeled and organized :)

Neighbor kids wanting to help...Troy told him from the start that he was not paying them to help him! LOL!

That is such a great idea. We have a huge garden spot where we live now, that would be so fun. Your kids are so cute. Tyler loved seeing Troy at Snow's football game the other day. Cute pictures!!!

Oh I love it! I wish we were there, we totally would have purchased some pumpkins! How fun that you have a garden...who would have ever thought?!? What a great lesson to teach at an early age...I'm glad he is putting most of it into savings...you're a great mom Erin!

You are such a good mom. I too never want to bother with the lemonade stand! Troy looks so pleased with his little pumpkin business. And $60 makes for good earnings! Way to go!!

I would rather sale pumpkins too. $60? That's awesome. I think you started a tradition.
